Jenks and Cattell Engineering in Wednesfield are currently recruiting for an Engineering Estimator / Costing Engineering job vacancy, with the successful candidate working in a team of 3 Estimators with a primary function of costing our fabrications and assemblies, ahead of quotation from the sales team. The role will involve direct team-working with our Sales, Production and Engineering teams and the wider business.

The ideal candidate is an apprenticeship trained engineer from a mechanical engineering business with experience in metal pressings, tooling and welded assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible for costing complex welded metal assemblies, predominantly for the automotive and off-highway industry, but industries are very diverse including defence, medical and construction. In addition, laser cutting and CNC machining experience is beneficial, however, training can be provide.

We will consider applicants with only metal pressing and welded experience, with a desire for an office based engineering role.
