Weekly Round-Up: Birmingham Children’s Hospital, ALFED and International Men’s Day

Welcoming Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Katie Harris, Corporate Partnerships Officer from Birmingham Children’s Hospital to our site. They presented our team with a large cheque, marking the culmination of our fundraising efforts. We are thrilled to announce that we raised a total of £5,854 for the charity. These funds will contribute to their main entrance fund, which has now surpassed £1 million of the £3 million target.

Our fundraising activities included climbing the 3-Peaks Challenge, selling badges, and organising a sweepstake for the Euro’s football tournament. We are incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and hard work in supporting such a worthy cause.

Aluminium Federation’s Apprentice of the Year

In other exciting news, the final of the Aluminium Federation’s Apprentice of the Year took place in Windsor. Jenks & Cattell Engineering was proudly represented by Daniel Collins, our Toolmaker Apprentice. Daniel was a finalist and received a £250 award from the Aluminium Federation. He was accompanied by Paul Wilcox and Adrian Muston from our Engineering team. Please join us in congratulating Daniel for his outstanding contributions to tool-making and the aluminium industry.

International Men’s Day Celebrations

To celebrate International Men’s Day, we presented our male team members with branded Jenks & Cattell Engineering socks. This gesture was a token of our appreciation for their unwavering commitment to manufacturing and their significant contributions to the success of Jenks & Cattell Engineering.

We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our team and look forward to achieving even greater milestones together. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
