Three Peaks Challenge Team Raise Over £4,000

Let’s celebrate the amazing Jenks & Cattell Engineering team of 15 for climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.

The team, which is made up of 14% of total team on site, set off up Ben Nevis in the warmest weather Scotland has seen all Summer, which they completed in 6 ½ hours. Followed by Scafell Pike in 4 ½ hours and Snowdon in 5 ½ hours despite the wet and windy conditions.

Several challenges were encountered, including road closures, burst tyres and a couple of injuries, which unfortunately left the 24-hour target out of reach. The efforts to complete the Three Peaks Challenge were all in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where an impressive amount exceeding £4,000 has been raised so far. Not only has money been raised  for an excellent cause, but awareness of the charity has been raised, multi-functional team relationships have been formed with a diverse team made up of press operators, sales, engineers, managers, planners, accountants and estimators.

Expressing his pride, Mike O’Shea, Managing Director said: “It was a fantastic weekend with a great team. I am proud of the teamwork shown in sticking together and the organisation we all demonstrated during this tough challenge.

As one of the leaders here at Jenks and Cattell Engineering, I am exceptionally proud of how much money was raised. A big thank you to Eleanor Imray for organising the event, it was seamless and wouldn’t have happened without you!

The smiles on the faces in each of the photos, the constant buzz around Jenks & Cattell Engineering while people talk about their experiences on the challenge, the cross functional relationships forged through some adversity and the money the team have raised are the true measure of how successful last weekend was.”

£5,000 is the target fundraising total and if you would like to contribute, please visit the Just Giving Page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/jenks-cattell-engineering-1721639334497
