Jenks & Cattell Engineering are very pleased and excited to announce our latest investment to the laser fabrication department.
Earlier this week we took delivery of a brand-new AMADA VENTIS 3015 AJ fiber laser machine as our third laser machine on site. To compliment our investment, we have added the AMADA part remover and automatic storage rack with load and unload functions to allow the laser to run 24-7 with very little manual operation.
With two existing Trumpf C02 laser machines on our factory floor, this is our first fiber machine where we are expanding our skillset to offer our customers the cutting of brass and copper in addition to stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium. Our new laser is expected to be more energy efficient, use less nitrogen and therefore better for the environment whilst also cutting an even more quality component to precision.
Our investment has cost in the region of one million pounds which has included the adaption to our roof to facilitate the large piece of machinery. As a company, we operate a continuous investment philosophy with a large financial backing by owners Newship Group, and this is just our second large investment of the year behind our CNC machine. We will also be commissioning an additional CNC machine and some progression presses in the upcoming months.
The installation of the new laser is expected to be completed by September – so watch this space to learn more about what our new investment can offer you as customers!
