Happy National Engineering Day!

1st November marks the return of National Engineering Day, which the Royal Academy of Engineering state “is a day that aims to make the UK’s engineers and engineering more visible and celebrate how they improve everyday lives and shape the world around us”.

Jenks & Cattell Engineering has been in the industry since 1886 and is one of the longest running metal engineering companies in the UK, with a skilled workforce of over 100 people, 22 of whom are qualified engineers. We offer a complete engineering service from design feasibility support, conception phase, prototype components to mainstream production and delivery, and we are committed to delivering high quality products that meet or exceed our customer expectations and specifications. Our high-quality standards, in accordance with ISO 9001 set the precedence with the whole team working to engineering standards, regardless of their qualifications.

On National Engineering Day, we would like to thank our Jenks team for being passionate about metalwork and engineering, and a special thanks to our engineers for their hard work and dedication to ensure we manufacture thousands of components each week to specification. We would also like to acknowledge other engineers associated with Jenks & Cattell Engineering, especially our customers who are designing complex metal assemblies, and incorporating aluminium welded assemblies and components for alternate energy appliances, charging stations, electric vehicles, and hydrogen vehicles which will make a positive environmental difference to the renewable energy and automotive world. Engineering is more than just a job for many people, it is a passion and a way of life, and we are proud of our history of our 137 years in engineering, and the apprentices we have inspired who will inspire the next generation of engineers to join us.
