The SMMT is the voice for the automotive industry and Jenks & Cattell Engineering have been proud members for many years. 50% of our manufacturing output is for the automotive, defence, off-highway and commercial vehicle/buses industries, where we manufacture pressed metal components for high-volume production runs for end users Volkswagen, Nissan, Mercedes and Jaguar Land Rover and laser fabrication for low-mid volume metal fabrications for prestigious OEM’s including DAF, Leyland, Volvo, Caterpillar and Perkins.
Jenks & Cattell Engineering have a very experienced metalwork engineering team and have the capability and capacity to manufacture complex components including oil sumps, battery trays, BIW components, wire harness brackets, bumper brackets, headlamp rims etc.
Looking ahead, Jenks & Cattell is excited about collaborating with world-leading engine manufacturers investing in battery electric vehicles (BEVs). We are actively involved in manufacturing metal assemblies for prototype BEVs, anticipating production readiness soon. Electric-powered trucks, buses, and vehicles are becoming the norm, and Jenks & Cattell’s metal components will play a vital role in this transition.
