Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd have seen a boost in new customers as we look to start the second half of the year positively. The new and additional manufacturing business will fit into our 3-shift pattern and utilise all our manufacturing services of laser cutting, presswork and welding.
We have secured press tooling resource business with multiple tier 2 automotive customers which totalled almost £1m, from the initial resource business we are continuing to grow the accounts with more components and new business.
In addition, we have supported new customers who had a lower volume requirement with components fitting in to end products at the start of its lifecycle, including electric vehicles and electric bicycles. Jenks & Cattell Engineering can offer a financial payback on volumes less than 5,000 per year using our laser cutting and fabrication manufacturing services with very little tooling investment. Our laser fabrications services are also suitable for prototypes and design feasibility checks prior to serial production.
Our company philosophy is to provide excellent service and quality of metal fabrications, and from this we have had several customers in the automotive, off-highway and construction industries as loyal customers for almost 20 years, with new components coming on board which is the reason behind our 136-year success. As a key automotive supplier since the 1990’s, we are excited to work with all our existing automotive customers on their electric and alternate energy vehicles, as well as welcoming new customers in similar industries, and our diversification into alternate energy industries with our increased usage and skillset of forming and welding aluminium assemblies.
To support the additional £2m of business gained in 2022 alone, we have a number of job vacancies available at our Wolverhampton based plant including Production Planners, a Process Engineer, an Operations Manager and Sales Executive. View all of our job vacancies here: Job Vacancies
