After an uncertain year for many industries, including manufacturing, Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd are in the fortunate position to be heading towards the end of 2020 on a high. We are seeing excellent levels of production as we head towards the last 4 working weeks of the year, with all our employees back on-site with some overtime and weekend working.
We have completed over 265,000 operations to manufacture metal components for various industries including off-highway, defence, medical, construction and automotive since the beginning of October. With a large majority of industries taking a hit during the pandemic, our company philosophy of spreading the risk and being only 25% reliant on any one industry has proven advantageous for the business.
To confirm, Jenks & Cattell Engineering will be having a shutdown from 23rd December-4th January for Christmas and New Year, and we advise customers to book their production within our factory to ensure lead times are achieved; particularly for tooled components.
Our operations and services include metal stamping, laser cutting, both manual and robotic welding to complete mechanical and functional assemblies, and our full equipment list can be viewed here: https://jcel.co.uk/equipment
