Manual Handling Training Onsite for Safety Week

Yesterday, our team were divided into six individual manual handling workshops, facilitated by PLT Training Ltd. PLT Training visited our site as part of our continuous improvement philosophy to enhance our safety knowledge. Each department, from laser cutting to welding, tool room, and maintenance, had tailored sessions focusing on relevant manual handling activities.

The main objectives of the manual handling training were to:

  • Understand the reasons for safe manual handling
  • Recognise how manual handling assessments contribute to health and safety improvements
  • Learn the principles, equipment, and testing requirements for handling safety
  • Apply safe manual handling principles

At Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd, safety is a top priority. We have taken significant steps to highlight the importance of safety throughout our building, including training courses, visual aids, and our Eagle Eye and Risk Hunter initiatives. We are proud to report that we have gone 292 days and counting without a lost time accident.
