SME of the Year with NEAA

Jenks & Cattell Engineering is proud to announce its recognition after winning SME of the Year at the prestigious North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) Awards within their manufacturing category.

The awards ceremony, held in Durham, brought together leading figures from across the automotive and off-highway sectors to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the industry.

Representing Jenks & Cattell Engineering, a cross-functional team attended the evening to accept the award and cheque. Marketing Manager, Eleanor Imray said: “It is an achievement that reflects collective effort and dedication across the business, in times of uncertainty across the industry as a whole. There is a lot of competition in our world of metal fabrication, and we are extremely proud to receive this award. It highlights the importance of partnerships, people, and continuous improvement in driving success.”

Operating from its Wolverhampton manufacturing facility, Jenks & Cattell Engineering supplies high quality metal pressings and welded assemblies to leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. While geographically based in the Midlands, the company has built strong, longstanding relationships with our partners across the North East demonstrating a commitment to supporting the region’s thriving automotive sector.

This award recognises not only technical capability and manufacturing excellence but also the company’s strategic collaboration with partners throughout the North East. Jenks & Cattell Engineering have been members of the NEAA for many years, and we continue to invest in manufacturing processes, ensuring it remains a trusted supplier within a competitive and evolving industry.

As part of the award, the business also received a £1,000 cheque, which will be donated to two local schools to support STEM initiatives. This contribution reflects Jenks & Cattell Engineering’s ongoing commitment to developing future talent and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Winning this award reinforces the company’s position as a key manufacturing partner and underlines its dedication to championing the UK automotive supply chain.

Jenks & Cattell Engineering looks forward to continuing its growth and strengthening its presence within the North East automotive community and the NEAA.
