Some of the Jenks & Cattell Engineering team attended Wolverhampton Racecourse last night to celebrate the fantastic businesses in the West Midlands at the Express & Star Business Awards.
Following an onsite judging procedure with judges from Collins Aerospace and the newspaper, Jenks & Cattell Engineering were in the final 3 in the Manufacturing Champion category against two other manufacturing companies in the packaging and aircon industries.
We were praised for being established since 1886, for exporting Wolverhampton made products across the world, and our sustainability and talent retention focus.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t our night, and we did not win the Manufacturing Champion award and speaking of the event Managing Director, Mike O’Shea said: “We are very proud to have been nominated for a local manufacturing award, which shows how excellently our team are performing and that our investments are making crucial differences to the manufacturing industry.
We are disappointed not to win the award, but we will follow our continuous improvement philosophy and build upon the great changes we make everyday and see what next year holds.”
