Celebrating Our Future Talent This National Apprenticeship Week

As National Apprenticeship Week comes to an end, we are taking the opportunity to recognise the passion, commitment and growing expertise of our own next generation of engineers and professionals.

Apprenticeships are a vital part of our long-term strategy to build skills gap bridges and strengthening the future of UK manufacturing.

Investing in the Next Generation

We are proud to currently support four apprentices across our organisation. In our toolroom, Dan, Romillie and Alfie are developing hands-on engineering skills, learning from experienced mentors while gaining real-world manufacturing experience. Meanwhile, Perez is building valuable knowledge and professional expertise within our finance team.  Our apprenticeships demonstrate how we can support a wide range of career paths beyond the shop floor.

Our apprentices are delivered in partnership with City of Wolverhampton College and In-Comm, combining practical workplace training with technical education.

Developing Skills, Confidence and Careers

Through a supportive learning environment and exposure to real projects, our apprentices quickly gain the experience needed to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Adrian Muston, Training and Development Manager, said:

“Our three first-year apprentices have made an excellent start to their training. They have demonstrated strong commitment, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude toward new challenges. We at Jenks & Cattell Engineering are very pleased with their development and look forward to helping them achieve the high standards set by our third-year apprentices, who have now grown into confident, capable professionals who consistently demonstrate strong technical skills and a deep understanding of their chosen trades.”

We look forward to continuing to invest in apprenticeships, empowering individuals, supporting our local community, and helping to shape the future of manufacturing.
