Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd have continuously employed apprentices with City of Wolverhampton College for 12 years, and this year is no exception and for the first time in our apprenticeship recruitment history, we have held two apprenticeship assessment centres.
Our final assessment centre ran yesterday where apprentices that were interested in our apprenticeship scheme had an opportunity to learn more about our manufacturing company, the importance of health and safety on our Wolverhampton plant and get answers to any questions they had about their chosen apprenticeship pathways.
All attendees had an opportunity to show off their skills while taking a dexterity test and partaking in a structured interview.
This exciting day finished on a positive note with two of the candidates being offered positions, one in manufacturing and another as a Tool Maker as part of our scheme. We look forward to them joining us very soon as we continue to work alongside City of Wolverhampton College and welcome aboard a new training provider In-Comm Training Services Ltd and reduce the skills gap in the world of sheet metal manufacturing and engineering.
